Overview
The LOSA Alumni Portal is the member side of the Labone Old Students Association (LOSA) national website. Alumni register, pay and become part of the association in one place, and what they get back is both immediate and ongoing. The association hosts the site itself, so I built the portal as part of its existing website.
The challenge
An alumni association runs on membership, dues and trust. Registering members, collecting payments and proving who is a member is usually handled across spreadsheets, mobile-money screenshots and paper cards, which is slow for the executives and awkward for members spread across different countries.
What it does
- Register. Alumni sign up online and create their member profile.
- Pay. Dues and registration payments are made through the portal, so payment and membership live in the same record.
- Instant digital ID card. As soon as a member is registered and has paid, they get a digital membership ID card they can open and show straight away.
- Member portal. Each member has their own area with added benefits, including protocol registration.
- Financial reports. Members can see how the association’s money is being managed.

I designed and built the portal, from the registration and payment flow to the digital ID card and the member area.
