Overview
Acheampong & Associates is a Ghanaian law firm, established in 2015, that focuses on immigration, corporate, family and real estate law for individuals, organisations and people abroad. My work was digital marketing: making sure that someone searching for help with a Ghanaian visa, residence permit or company registration finds the firm.
The challenge
Most of the firm’s clients start with a search, often from another country, and ask very specific questions: how long does a Ghana visa take, what documents are needed, how does a dual citizenship application work. A legal website with a handful of general pages would never answer them. The site needed a structure that matches how people search, and the technical foundations for search engines to understand it.
Technical SEO
- Structured data. The firm is described to search engines as a legal service, with its address and contact details, and each article and page is marked up so results can show richer information.
- Sitemaps. A full XML sitemap index covering pages, articles and products, with a separate local sitemap listing the firm’s office location.
- Search appearance controls. Settings that allow full snippets and large image previews, and social cards on every page so shared links look right.
- Performance and delivery. Secure delivery, a global content network, early connection hints and lazy-loaded images so pages open quickly from anywhere.
- Measurement. Analytics and conversion tracking in place across the site, including the paid service flows.
On-page SEO and content structure
- A page for every service. Dedicated pages for work and residence permits, dual citizenship, permanent residence, visa on arrival, company set-up, property purchase and rental, document legalisation and notarisation, UK and Schengen visa applications and surrogacy legal advice. Each one targets the phrase a client would use.
- A large library of answers. Over a hundred articles answering real questions, from entry requirements and visa validity to the difference between a work permit and a residence permit, linked back to the matching service page.
- Clear next steps. Consultation booking and online payment for services such as visa on arrival sit one click from the pages that attract the traffic.
- Trust signals. Client testimonials from several countries and a “trusted by” strip of business clients.
What I did
I handled the firm’s technical and on-page SEO: the site structure, the metadata, the structured data and the content plan.
