About the project

A portfolio site for Emmanuel Asante, a Ghanaian-Australian visual artist based in Sydney, whose work explores identity, migration and community.

What it does

• Introduces the artist, with a biography and his curriculum vitae.
• Presents his popular works, such as portraits and “Water is Life”, and the pieces currently on display, each with its title and year.
• Includes a store where collectors can browse and buy, and a look book.
• Lists the services he offers, collects press and media coverage and gives galleries and collectors a simple way to contact him.

What I did

I designed and built the site with an editorial, gallery-style feel: generous space, a refined serif headline and warm gold accents drawn from his work.
